I don't know anything about Ackie's, but it looks like a prolapse to me, I think maybe a vet visit might be in order. Hopefully someone with more experience will come along with advice soon.
It's a rectal prolapse.
Is it back in now? If not, wash it with saline or satur sugar solution (sugar in water),and gently push it in. Tape the cloaca with a small strip of bandate for 24 hours and see what happens.
Good luck

Ditto.....plus don't feed him/her for three weeks and only small [well hydrated] meals for a while.....solar 17 [Baden]It's a rectal prolapse.

Excellent - did you use sugar - it can work very well... Also, if she's with a male, I'd remove him/her-it may be related to mating, and keep them separate for a month or more.
Keep the everted bits damp (if they dry out the tissue may die, followed by the ackie...) and as Michael says, if you can tape the bits in place, they may heal pretty quickly (mucous membranes do heal very fast in most animals).
Good luck & keep us posted...
Jamie.
fewwwwww she's put it back in so I've just done what michael said and raped/taped it up, but what if she needs to go to the toilet?
thanks for all your help, I'll let you know how she's going tonight.
I hope you meant 'wrapped' lol! The tape probably won't stay on for long anyway Jordan. If the prolapsed tissue resolved itself without anything other than some sugar (no physical pushing from you), it looks good for the healing process. If the tissue returns to normal of it's own accord, you may not have any more problems. Keep it separated from the male, and small meals for a few weeks.

If she pulled it back by herself, take the tape off after few hours and watch her.
Good luck with her, jordan
I've not had to deal with prolapse before... why sugar water?
