Hi everyone, first post here.

I am new here in South Australia and have not built up my contact list yet, hence joining this forum. I am applying for a venomous snake permit class 3 in South Australia. I have met all the requirements for the permit, but missing one more reference from a permit holder authorised to keep venomous snakes. I plan on keeping a Tiger snake, as they are brilliant, and I have experience with them. I have put out requests for volunteer work at reptile parks and zoo’s to do snake husbandry so I can get the last reference I need but no reply’s yet.

Is there anyone out there wanting a volunteer to do some snake husbandry work in Adelaide area or anyone who has a permit authorising keeping of venomous snakes who wishes to see my certificates in handling venomous snakes, and could supply a reference that I have experience in handling venomous snakes?

I’m pretty sure you are not allowed to work with hazardous (I.e venomous reptiles) animals as a volunteer at “parks/zoos”.

I found out just today that Adelaide zoo won’t allow volunteers to work with animals. Though I believe that some reptile parks allow volunteers to work with their animals.
I have experience in catching/handling/husbandry with venomous snakes, and have got 1 reference so far from a permit holder authorised to keep venomous snakes, I just need one more reference. If anyone has any leads that would be amazing.
[doublepost=1525221018,1525175089][/doublepost]Any permit holders for keeping venomous snakes out there, happy to supply a reference for a fellow venomous snake handler applying for a permit to keep venomous snakes class 3 specifically a Tiger snake, need one more reference to say I have experience in handling venomous snakes. Can show certificates on catching/handling venomous snakes, previous 12 months experience on husbandry of Tiger snakes as well.
