Hi guys. to the tech people or anyone that has dealt with this- how do i get rid of it? Its blocked all programs on my computer e.g. firefox, explorer, media player, adobe programs, and all antispyware.

Im currently using my ph to type this, and ive tried to find a legit way to nuke this pain in the **** virus. but everything says u need to download random crap which i dont trust.

i have an intermediate level of knowlesge with computers and just need clear instructions on how to nuke this. can anyone point me to a reliable site that will help, or instructions if you know them? Looking it up on this phone is bloody useless and slow!

Thanks in advance... this has turned my new years celebration sour!

Have u tried starting computer in safe mode?? I had one of these types of virus and needed to use windows safe mode to stop it from running. Just FYI the free Microsoft antivirus does stop this from installing on your computer

Download and run Malwarebytes + TDSSKiller. Both free both well recognised. May have to run in safe mode.
Can you do a system restore?

I agree with Ramsayi download malwarebytes to a usb from another computer go into safe mode with your computer install malwarebytes and run a full scan if that does not work run a system restore.

If you have an IPAD, look up in 7antispyware removal on Youtube and you'll find step by step instruction on how to remove this malware.

I would be very careful with system restore...I had the lovely "alureon H" on my computer and I almost lost some important information when I stupidly did system restore....I would say use recovery disks if you made them or call an IT guy...Hope it works out well!

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I've just booted in safe mode and will download malwarebytes- I'd seen this mentioned in many placed but didn't know if it was legit and 'safe' so now that you have mentioned it, I'll get it.

As to doing a system restore to a previous point, I can't as I recently formatted the computer and haven't got any prior restore points to use.

Edit: Ok, downloaded and installed malwarebytes in safemode, ran a quick scan and it detected 9 files that were removed, rebooted normally and no evidence of the virus popping up again yet. Fortunately I downloaded the program before it popped up in safe mode and restricted my internet access again- didn't think it would be able to do that!

Now running a full scan... Thankyou all :)

Is it alright now, Kitah? Curse those hackers, they're worse than mites in a snake collection!

It SEEMS to be ok... I looked up some of the random registry files that it plants on your computer that need to be deleted and they all appear to be gone. doesnt seem to be any more trogans or other crap on my computer, so fingers crossed!!!

Lol I dont even know where it came from! I don't tend to go on dodgy sites ;)

That is a most unseemly comment. It demonstrates an absence of sensibilities and a lack of knowledge of the misuse of internet search engines by hackers.

even if you have anti virus, nothing is perfect, so one still has to be aware of what can be an issue and learn online safety to limit your exposure to possible nasties.
so, go learn! :D

It doesn't have to be a dodgy site, or at least one that appears dodgy. A few months ago some one found a crack in one of my my websites and added phishing pages to it. They looked like the real thing too (though, thanks to the magic of cut and paste, its not to hard to do). Interestingly the target site was the Italian post office and they were on to it like a flash, it is a bit disconcerting to get a threatening mail like that, but I removed the pages within 4 hours of them being uploaded.

Buy a mac! Unix is best.... no more malware, spyware, anti-virus garbage!
