there was this thing in the weekend shopper, i threw mine out, but if anyone else has one, it had a link to vote to see if we can get ferrets in QLD, so if anyone can look in the QLD pets section, where the snakes are advertised.

Great another feral animal that QLD doesn't need.

I know people with ferrets and they smell really bad, thats all i know about them, except that they will eat any small mammel.

why are ferrets not allowed in qld but ok everywhere else, if the concern is native wildlife? no rabbits, no ferrets...what else is not allowed in qld??

Well i think us (me) ferret lovers should meet the government half way and allow the ferrets in but they must be nuderd

ok well, its better than no ferrets, couldnt a snake do more damage or would desexed ferrets be worse? im not sure how bad they are in the wild.

There are wild populations of ferrets in NSW and Victoria seeded by people using ferrets to flush out rabbits.

In New Zealand ferrets have been banned because they are decimating the number of flightless birds and other native wildlife.

but if only desexed ferrets are allowed then colonies wont be created
