I wonder if that page was actually created for a purpose, such as training new medical staff or something. As all the pics were taken during surgeries and all the talk/description is of the surgeries.

If it was created as a teaching page, wouldn't one of the attending surgeons have written it, not the victim?

I suspect it could have something to do with what is lacking in the story - maybe he was trying to catch the snake and got bitten, maybe they didn't apply firstaid, maybe the hospital he went to didn't give him antivenom etc., so he's focussing on graphic images that happened later.
