Hey yeah dont worry just keep some fresh water there If it wants a drink it will bredlis are from arid dry regions so they dont often

My Jungle's use it sparingly, my Bredli is quite often lying in it.

Depends on how your thawing your rats, if you are just thawing directly in water, the wet fur will give your snake alot if its water, only once I started feeding my childreni's freshly killed mice did I notice my snakes drinking regularly

In five years I caught only one snake ever drinking from its bowl - I assume they get what they need over night when I really should have had cameras watching them!

I did however thaw all rats in water - and as snakes aren't particularly thirsty animals, I doubt you have much to worry about :)

Plus many snakes come from a fairly arid Australian environment - some would probably go for extended periods with only little water.

I've seen mine drinking, and one in particular will come out and drink everytime I change his water. I let him into my female's tank last week and the first thing he did was take a big drink from her water bowl.

But as your bredli starts getting bigger, you might find changing from a bowl to a bucket will be an idea to keep in mind. I buy the cheap oblong buckets, or those round coloured ones with the handles for them now. Cheaper than pet-branded water bowls.

awwwk, mine hasnt eaten since he been with me, its a week now and the seller told he wasnt fed for 2 weeks so ive been trying to get him to eat aswell :(View attachment 215541

You've only had it for a week and I assume that by you saying "ive been trying to get him to eat" that you have offered food more than once..?

Let the snake settle in first. Put it in a quiet, low-traffic room in your house and leave it alone for a week or so. It's probably stressed out, and seeing how it hasn't eaten for a couple of weeks prior to purchase you are only going to make things worse for yourself.

Let it settle then offer a feed. If it doesn't take it, let it go another week.

Pythons drink often but the water needs to be absolutely fresh, once the water is a day or two old they won't use it.Try take the bowl out for a few days then put it back in full of fresh water.Within a few minutes you should see them go take a drink.

We see our Stimmie drink regularly - he LOVES fresh water, as soon as fresh water goes in, he's there checking it out!! Can't say that i've seen any of the others drink tho...
