So i just noticed today my little womas face scales are looking really dry. Hes had a few sheds while ive had him but never seen his scales do this and the sheds have always looked perfect. He last shed a little over a month ago so he is probably due shortly just thought id check? Any help would really appreciated. Thanks
His eyes are definately starting to get milky.

looks like he has been rubbing on something.

not sure, i have a woma and ive never seen mine like that, wouldnt worry it will probably go away after his next shed :) nice woma btw :D

That used to happen to one of my womas, he loaves to try and shove his head under rocks, hides etc and was wearing his skin a bit. Try making it impossible for him to shove his head under things and it should clear up next shed.

o yeah didnt see his mouth his might be rubbing on something like deebo said, do you put him in a mesh or wire cage when you take him outside, he might be rubbing his head on it

yea hes currently in a tub with red desert sand and is always moving his stuff around. Hell be moving into his bigger home shortly once the led strips arrive so i can install them. It does look quite dry but maybe the red sand is adding to it a bit. Ps Thanks womagaunt

Nah just goes for walks on grass and his tub is plastic, only his hide he could really be rubbing on

Have you got any rocks in the tank? and what substrate do you use?

lol sorry didnt read the last post u use desert sand :)

red desert sand substrate and no rocks just his water bowl his hide which isnt too rough but he still seems to shed ok. Ill be trialling those coir peat bricks in the new enclosure, wonder if its worth me swapping it in her tub now.

Nothing a couple of fat, juicy rats wouldnt fix  He hasnt been pushing some of his chalk around with his nose? Get him into his bigger enclosure as soon as you can, he is prolly bored and getting up to mischief ;)

Womas are burrowers too, he might be trying to burrow in the sand but rubbing his nose on the plastic of the tub in the process

Well I guess led lights aren't a neccessity atm so ill get the new one ready to go. Thanks guys ill make sure to post pics too
