You buy them from produce stores. I beleive they are mainly sold as bedding for horses.

Rice husks are exactly that. The husk taken off grains of rice before packaging the rice for sale

Yes I saw they are now gone. As you said they are only worth what someone is willing to pay. Well "someone" paid a awlfull lot for just 3 lizards
