need to know if i have to stay home from my course today or should i stay back and get this undercontroll today theres thousands of them all over my mealworms tub and starting to spread all over my shelf and in my waterdragons tank. i think there mold mites? 1 of my mealworm containers was mouldy under all the others didnt see would that be right?

I remember someone on here having the same problem.
Yes I believe its due to moisture.
 
Thy're bran mites. I don't think there's much you can do about them. From memory it may help to have better ventilation in your colony. They WILL NOT infect reptiles at all. When I raised mealworms I just put up with them.

o that's a relief but im still taking the day off :) and gonna try and get them under controll dont want these things all over the place

A good hint is to freeze the bran before using..just put a fresh bag of bran in the freezer for a couple of days
 
Good advice (I guess to could put it in the oven at low temp also). Might have to start off with a new clean colony.
 
ive taken the tub out and just sat it over water for now gonna try and keep what i can out of them there due for a clean anyway gonna move them into the shed or somewhere else.
