What species of snake is this...

Hiya guys!

On a recent trip through central australia, this guy slithered across the road infront of me.
After a quick stop, I jumped out and chased it to get it on camera, Steve Irwin style! haha
Although I did a pretty crappy job of getting it one video, it disappeared into some bushes, and I didnt fancy following it!
Hopefully I got enough for someone to identify it!


Saw it just out of Dalhousie Springs, Far North East SA
It was about 1-1.5m long
greyish with some black bands on it...
Any ideas

Is it a western brown (gwarder)??
It looked pretty cool.
I havent seen one like this before.

Well it's not big foot or the lock ness monster I can say that much lol. It's an elapid of sone description. Not great on elapid id's.

Yeah it looks to be a Western Brown, bit hard to tell though. Nice thick bands on it.
