he only had a strike at me twice becouse he was shedding, and hes not hiding much at all he did for the first couple of weeks but the last two weeks hes been out and about climbing and laying at the front of the enclosure watching whats going on he doesnt hide anymore and dosent take off when people approach he couldnt care less, the only concern i had was that he took a while to start eating but now everything is all good.what size is the enclosure or tub or whatever youre keeping it in coz if its to big then it might be scared of the enclosure or tub if thats the case thats probably why its constantly hiding and striking at you
if he shed shortly after his bitey incident it was probably cos or that but u didn trealise.
if hes eating well, wait till theres no bulge left and get him out for short periods and let him have a cruise on the loungeroom table, then put him back.
he will learn that ur not a big scary monster, but the bringer of good things.
the enclosure is 3 ft( lenght), 1 1/2ft(wide), 1 1/2ft height, he has 2 hides 1 in the hot end and 1 in the colder endwhat size of tank do you have him in.if its not too much trouble legnth x width x hieght please.has he got plenty hides in both hot and cold ends.

he had his first rat at 8 months old ( that was 7 months ago) and that would alternate between 2 mice or 1 rat a fortnight, i just got home from work and he was laying under the light when i sat down he come up to the front and is there watching me now lolimo its a good sign that he's having a look out his little window.imo its showing he's starting to get a bit of confidence.my last bad eater ttook 10 month to have a wee peek out its window.after i noticed it out more (as it used to hide and only come out for a few hours in the middle of the night) i made its window a little bigger.then once it looked settled again i'd make the window bigger.eventually i took all the tape of and she eats anything you put in front of her.how long had yours been on rats for before you got it ? ive had carpets feeding on mice then moved them onto rats, they take rats for a few weeks then stop because imo they preffered the taste of mice.its really worth persevering and keeping it on rats.as it takes a lot of mice in one sitting to feed an adult carpet.
