What type of people keep reptiles????

I am a Desktop Services Technical Team Leader, I am not normal, mostly strange but funny not weird. :lol: I enjoy studying reptiles and other animals which I have a large variety of. My Mum knows my fascination for learning new things with animals but my Dad he is not sure, I have a bush background and he doesn't know why you would want to buy one when you have them running around all over the sand hill. I try to explain the conservation aspect, but owning a propoerty he sees them as pests. But each and everyone to themselves, weirdos be brave....

I rob old ladies and bash up school kids for money, take drugs and drink cheap port before 11am.
I smoke buts I find in the gutter and have tats but only on the face and knuckles. My police record goes into three volumes and I am married to 13 different partners including a goat and sheep. I only have one eye and both ears got cut off because of a bad debt. My leg is still preety good but has notoes from another bad debt. I keep reptiles because I can thrust them at people to scare them. I live in a doorway of a government building and I barrack for Collingwood.

I'm 26 and I love 4WDing, riding my dritbike, listening to metal music, I also have a beautful wife and 11 month old baby girl. Who has just started to Walk!! and I love life, not many people say that these days. It's all thanks to Jesus Christ!

I work full time at woolies (workin on changing that), do uni full time (wildlife Biol) and I volunteer 1-2 days a week at a wildlife sanctuary!! And yes, I am what you would call a little bit speshal!!!

Ranges between full time IT student, full time mother, seasonally raising 100s of tarantulas and sending them out all over Australia.

I have a huge passion for spiders, that most people on this site wouldn't think is normal. Pythons come in as a second passion.

I don't find it abnormal at all. I keep a few Taratulas myself. I just got a couple Chilian Rose Hair slings. Cute little devils.

i'm a S hitkicker, people say its weird and freaky to keep reptiles, but once upon a time the same thing might of been said about a cat, or a dog even. Its up to us to make these ppl see reptiles as 'normal' making them the weird ones for not seeing this in the first place.

It's not keeping them that people find abnormal, it's the amount of passion I have for them I guess, few understand, don't understand they are not 'just spiders' . Been told I'm 'a freak' here and many other places :lol: . During breeding season, they are a full time job.

I'd love to see some pics of your tarantulas, Kev Wouldn't mind being able to keep some of the exotic tarantulas at all, oh so nice.
