Hi all,

Have recently moved house, and found a snake skin in my roof space. I would like to know what type of snake this is, if anyone can enlighten me , it would be much appreciated. I live in South East Queensland. Cheers :p

Did you get any other photo's. There isn't really much information to be had in that one. Usually you would count the scales like this: How to count scales but from the photo you can't see the ventral scales. In SEQ your most likely culprits are the coastal python (NOT Taipan!!) or maybe a green tree snake (NOT python!!), both are harmless and will rid you of rodents.

Thank you for your replies, they are somewhat helpful...unfortunately this is the only photo i have, the woman that used to live in this house says it comes and goes as it pleases, is about 5' long and is orange in colour, it has been sighted a short while back by the neighbour on the fence and is apparently very beautiful.
