What type of Snake is this??

Hi all,

Have recently moved house, and found a snake skin in my roof space. I would like to know what type of snake this is, if anyone can enlighten me , it would be much appreciated. I live in South East Queensland. Cheers

Did you get any other photo's. There isn't really much information to be had in that one. Usually you would count the scales like this: How to count scales but from the photo you can't see the ventral scales. In SEQ your most likely culprits are the coastal python (NOT Taipan!!) or maybe a green tree snake (NOT python!!), both are harmless and will rid you of rodents.

Thank you for your replies, they are somewhat helpful...unfortunately this is the only photo i have, the woman that used to live in this house says it comes and goes as it pleases, is about 5' long and is orange in colour, it has been sighted a short while back by the neighbour on the fence and is apparently very beautiful.
