I recently got a 4yo diamond python and have found what look like white mites? They are really tiny, smaller than a flea and are under his jaw/chin area but I can't seem to see them anywhere else and it's definitely not an egg as they move and have tiny legs.

When I tried to do some snake mite research everything says mites are black unless they're eggs. So my question is, is this another parasite that I don't know about or could it be a juvenile mite?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
TIA!

They might be these fellows, -- predatory mites - Hypoaspis miles – and they hunt down and eat snake mites. I purchased some to handle a bad snake mite probelm. These predatory mites were white and very tiny. They eventually disappeared once all the snake mites were eaten.
