i'm looking for cheap co2 gas kits plus hoses so i can use it for killing my rats the humane way but do not want to buy a soda machine that comes with stuff i do not need at a extra cost
And if i get a large bottle where do i get it refilled in parramatta area
any ideas most helpful
thanks

Rocket have you contacted or thought about large gas suppliers like BOC or the local equivalent

You could also try home brew places. I've heard of people using it to add a bit of fizziness to their brews

You will find there is a yearly rental charge on all gas cylinders that you get from BOC or Air Liquide etc . This covers the testing etc of the cylinders etc, do even though the gas is cheaper as you are buying more unless you are going through a lot of cylinders it's not cost effective as it's the same yearly charge wether you use one or fifty bottles a year. That's why most plumbers have got rid of their oxy-acytelene kits and gone to MAP gas blow torches.

A sodastream machine will cost less than $70 at woolies. You run a hose from the spigot that goes in to the drink bottle.... to a tub with a hose hole in the lid.... simple.... cheap. The replacement canister can be the usual 40L for $13 or the larger 60L for $18. Cheap.... no bottle rental. It costs me about $15-$20 per month max, depending on useage.

I looked at renting a small bottle from BOC and it was going to cost $19 a month for the bottle rent.... then $17 to fill it up. Not worth it unless you are going to knock off hundreds of rats per week....

Yeah you could just blow torch them lol roasted rat hahahah at least it's cheap hahahahah

You can buy the gas bottles online but they cost around $300. The homebrew shops sell them. Then they cost around $90 to fill up. I know a site that sells them.

Yes, the gas cylinder rental alone would be $228 per year alone for the smallest bottle.... that is without the gas fill up. With the soda stream, I just pay for the gas as I go. I needed gas one day and woolies were out, so I got another machine for the gas cartridge, so now I have a spare cartridge to swap.... and a spare machine if the main one ever blows up ;)

Rockethead, you dont get anything you dont use with the sodastream machine except 2 screw top bottles? In reality, in between gassing rats, you can make yourself a fizzy drink :D

i here the government sell co2 for $23 a ton thats pretty cheap
Yea, but you have to sit in that room listening to the politicians talk to one another to get it. I hear it doesn't take too long though as Prime Ministers can usually donate half a ton by opening their mouths...

LOL ^ Yeah theres also a place called bunnings and they sell these things called hammers, last i saw they were about 8 bucks, does the trick just as good ;)

does that mean the govt is creating more greenhouse gas than they "remove" with the carbon tax?
