Hi All,

i am just looking on the net now to purchase my first incubator and am not sure which is better to go for? the two most common seem to be the Hovabator or the Reptaincubator? does anyone know which is better, if one is better or if they are both much the same or if there is something better all together?

cheers and thanks for any help!

Ive heard good and bad things regarding the Hovabator, havent heard about the Reptaincubator...Do you no anyone that could possibly make one instead of buying one..As they are easy to make,a esky, old bar fridge,a wooden box all you need is a good thermostat,a thermoter,a heat source[ heat cord-bulbs ] simple to make...By the way what will you be trying to hatch...MARK

hi, i could make one but just am not in the mood, i already have to finish off building the new cage and have just run out of time! i suppose i could, but i think i will be up for the same amount of cash and i just don't know if i would trust it for my first clutch! i would be devistated if it didn't work and it killed my eggs! i am (hopefully, cross fingers) going to have my first clutch of central bearded dragon eggs!! i only saw them mate once and then he would usually run in the opposite direction to the girl!!

I am using the repta incubator for my first batch, but I have ordered and received the reptipro one.....the same one here in Australia is over $450 and I got 2 for $550USD delivered and with the exchange rate it was just over $600AUD....you need to get a voltage converter tho, but well worth it and it is very stable temperature wise.
