White Spots on Rat

Hey everyone,

So I got a rat out of the freezer tonight to feed my MD python and while defrosting it in warm water I noticed there are white spots on the rat. I'm thinking it's freezer burn but I'm just not sure. If it is freezer burn, is it still safe to feed it to my python?

Sounds like freezer burn and it is fine if it is. A picture would help positively identify it though.

No doubt it's freezer burn and yes, it'll be fine. Astronauts eat freeze-dried food in outer space !
