we have had him for about two months when we bought him we were told he was two and a half years old BUT he is tiny and only looks like a hatchling is it possible they have given us the wrong card or wrong snake? also sometimes his eating is really well like for example he had 3 fuzzys in 5 days last week and still looks hungary ! but before that i havent been able to get him to eat for over 4 weeks is this normal???? he is shedding every two weeks as well why is that??? PLEASE HELP! i dont want him to die...

Hi KayaD, maybe if you can give people a timeline of events that will help people to answer.

Date purchased
Lengths of sheds (are they getting larger?)
Date each Feed
Date of each Shed

Is it pooping properly? Does it seem normal in it's habits? When you say it looks hungry, what are you basing the observation on? The only time I've known a snake to look hungry is being more active and almost searching it's enclosure for food...

The more specific information you can give, the better people's responses can be :)

In the meantime, have a look through the other posts and sections and it may shed some light on your questions.

Can you tell us his weight and length, this might help with answers for you.If his is 2 1/2 years old this would make him an adult,so he should be brumating.I have an adult spotted + 2 x 8 month olds, the adult is approx 130 cm,750 grams. The 2 x 8 month olds 40 cm,40 grams. The adult hasn't eaten(weaner rat) for about 3 months(still active and healthy),the 8 month olds eat a fuzzy mouse every 7 days. All all shedding about every 6 weeks.

hi i was wondering if anyone knew why my spotted python puffs his throat out like a bullfrog? is this normal or do i have something to worry about? he is eating well looks healthy so just a bit worried as i have never seen him do this and i have had him 6 months so if anyone could help that would be great thanks =)

kayaD please stop posting the same question in different threads. If an answer doesnt come quickly enough for you I would advise you to take the smake to the vet if your concerned about it.
