What a beautiful snake! You've made me want an md so bad now! Stupid WA..

She's gorgeous! Always good to see MD pics :)

She is beautiful. Can't wait for mine to grow up!

Thanks for the replys guys, she is an 09 about 3 1/2 foot long. I had a feeling the ones we have over here are Vic line animals as they are smaller.

I have been neglecting this girl in the update department of late, she just shed and I had some spare time before work so thought I would put her outside for a stretch, she is the same age as my other girl.

They is a pair for sale in a shop in London for £700, they are fairly rare over here but is an extremely small niche of people who like them, I think that has more too do with the fact that you can pick up morphs of any species a lot easier and cheaper than md's, but hopefully when they are more widely avaliaable they will become more popular.Tim

Beautiful snake & nice photos, I'm considering buying one as my first, how's the temperament?

Yeah I've heard they can attract a high price in Europe. I was talking to an Italian keeper whom saw one for sale at a reptile expo in Rome and the price was prohibitive. In Australia keepers own them for different reasons, some end up with them as a first snake as they are marketed as such, however many are genuinely passionate about this form of carpet due to the arid woodland habitat they occur in and reflect in their colour and patterns. Many Victorian keepers proudly own a 'Vic Carpet' as well as South Australian keepers have 'SA form' MDs. Fortunately they occur in the ranges where I live and the Murray River adjacent to them, but they are quite rare and I've only seen a handful of wild specimens here.

I do feel they are priced that Way over here but I am sure they will come down in price they are just such great snakes in my eyes. It is like oz over here in the sense that the people who own them over here own them more for the love of the snake than the monetary value, well I do anyway.Tim
