Hi All, I found this dead snake on a bike track in the Browns Plains area (SE QLD), roughly 20cm long. Sad thing is you can see where someone has on purpose skidded a bicycle over it.
As the title says guys, what is your favourite reptile, and why is it your favourite? Also how did you guys get into keeping reptiles?
I've always been fascinated with anything out of the ordinary, I love sharks and crocodiles, and I've always been fascinated with snakes. My GF suggested we...
Theres a trio for sale on herp trader and I'm just wondering wat people think... Are they speaking of night tigers or am I missing something? Are night tigers colubrids
Preferably Night Tiger form.
I'd like something young (less than a year) already established on rodents.
Not really willing/able to pay more than $350 (including freight if you're interstate)
Even if you only have breeders I'm willing to go on a waiting list for the next clutch.
Cheers
Dan
Ok guys, I'm keen to see who has the biggest snake out of each sub species.
There will be two categories:
Length
Weight
I'm really keen to know how big some of the monsters are. I know Bredli's can get pretty big, but it will be cool to see the biggest specimens of each species.

This snake was found in ceiling of a Building in a State Forrest in Northern NSW at Mount Coramba, about 20 km northwest of Coffs Harbour.
The vent grill it is lying on has holes about 20x15mm.
Hi folks
I trained as an ecologist in the UK, taught in schools, had a job as an acting natural history curator in a museum and wardened a small nature reserve - but things are very different here and I've a lot to learn. So I've changed direction and have a calligraphy business and write...

Does anyone know about what has to be done to get an advanced reptile license? I have had my license for over two years now and want to start keeping some things I can't now. I called about it but I couldn't believe the lady when she told me she didn't know and I would have to call at a later...

Hello everyone. We live on a wooded property in the hills West of Lismore, Far Northern NSW. We often see, and have become friends with carpet pythons. Recently however my wife has found a 'different' snake skin in her craft room. Can anyone help with its identification?? At first we thought...
Everybody...post your latest stuff.
All I'd been taking lately was photographs of frogs, so had to break it up and went down to Sydney to take (non tourist) pics of things aside from amphibians...
And here's a fraction of the frogs I've snapped over the last month or so.

A long time ago in Qld before you could buy a reptile in a pet shop I went to a pet xpo in Bris. I saw a reptile display and joined a club and got an application form to get a license. A news letter was sent out from the club every so often and I sourced a Spotted Mac which I am pretty sure then...
I went down the road to cut some bamboo for my enclosures and I found this beautiful Brown tree snake there. I took a few shots and left it there. It made my day. :D
There has to be a way to have reptiles legally exported from Australia because I know of a person here in the United States that has had reptiles exported from Australia and then imported into the United States within the last several years. I've seen pictures and video footage of at least one...

Hi again,
Thanks everyone for your help with my Eastern Brown snakes query but I saw a snake a couple of weeks ago & I can't figure out what it was.

Hey Guys- i own 2 one year old stimsons pythons from the same clutch. They've never had feeding problems before and even though im not worried, im interested to ask this question:
The male of the pair (bigger by about 4 inches) hasn't eaten in 5 weeks. He was offered food the day after his...
Last year my girlfriend called me up saying that she found a dead common tree snake at her place lol. When she sent pictures I automatically knew it wasn't a common tree snake, just couldn't work out if it was a keelback or a rough scaled. How do you distinguish them?

Hi All,

Appologies for the thread title to any hot keepers.
Well I was sitting inside watching tv when I heard some squeaking and choking. I raced outside to find this. A snake that had struck this wild mouse and was still killing it while I watched. I am wondering what this might be though? I saw him a few weeks ago on the rafters out on the deck. I was...
Mum is having trouble coming to terms with the idea of me getting a snake. Any ideas of one which stays relatively small, yet is still pretty and affordable?

Greetings everyone,
I went on a brief trip to the Northern Territory last week. I have always wanted to see this area during the monsoon when it is lush and green. It really was a lovely site. The only problem with a visit during the wet was that the highway between Darwin and Kakadu can...
