Anyone interested in Donald doing a talk at a Herp Society meeting in Sydney some time in March or April? I have been talking to him and there is a strong possibility that he is in Australia one of these months and would like to hold a talk.
Took some photos in 10 minutes I had spare today as well as some from other days. Just a very small selection of what we use for displays and talks

Not that I'm saying that I definitely will buy it, I'll do research, then have it in mind for when the time comes.

I thought I'd have some fun and post some shots of a snake i recently caught and see who can ID it first.
For the newbs, so you hard core seasoned herps with venom in your veins keep it to yourself eh!

My wife isnt exactly into reptile, she loves the way they make me feel and she sees my passion, and im sure she respects that... But to her, the more snakes i bring home, the more room in the house she looses, another power point she looses, more time i will spend away from her. more money, well...

Hi
Here are a few more shots of the python which appeared on our front porch the other night (we live on 150 acres so no surprises really!) she is currently in our icecream tree so thought I would post a few pics for those interested. She is pretty big and lovely colours, but I'm new to...
Hi all, I've just joined. After hunting the net for the past few weeks looking up different snakes that we have seen on our new property I thought it wise to join a knowledgable group!!
We moved from the Gold Coast to our country lifestyle retreat of 150 acres backing up into the Border Ranges...

Hi guys,

Hey guys,

I was up early today playing with some snakes :D
So took some pics.. I really really like these two - Two of my fav snakes I own :)
The Browner one is a "southern form" and the orange one apparently a northen form - she seems to have gotten more orange in the last few years.
Seeing it was such a beautiful day today I thought I would take a few of the snakes out in the sun for a cruise around and snap a few pictures whilst they enjoyed the sunshine :)
Salutations forumites,

I am curious on peoples thoughts on line breeding to achive particular traits in a reptile. Do you think it is healthy for the reptiles? Does it effectivly reduce the gene pools the reptile? How much importance is placed on breeding reptiles to get something unique to offer the Herp market...
Not to cause a stir, but why aren't we allowed exotics or unnative reptiles in aus, but the US (for example) are allowed OUR natives, which would mean they are exotics over there...? It doesn't make sense and isn't fair, but then again not a lot is
