This was raised on an international forum so I thought I would bring the question over here.

Howdy,
Its anybody else sick of the myth and legends that the general public "know". lol
I'm just over correcting people when they see my collection of herp books on the shelf and they come out with, "did you know that the Taipans and pythons are interbreeding?" and "my best mate was chased by...
The local creek RBB females are begining to arrive back at their usual brumation. Here's the first (of up to five last year), a 2 year old female (720mm). I'll get some more update pics as things progress. I really enjoy seeing my girls together again:)!
Apologies for the crappy pics.

I put charlie (Carpet) back into his enclosure and jumped in the car and raced down to see if i...
Hello! Just wondering if anyone here keeps hot snakes/lizards/anything? I have a friend overseas that found himself with a black mamba! I think I'll stick to pythons lol. So, Do you keep them? What types?
Cheers, :D.
I have had a few questions and a lot of requests for pics, so took a few today while her new enclosure is being prepped.
So is it a true Calico? well dunno! She has a hypo type of thing going on (very freaky eyes) but it is unsure as to if it is part of the make up of the calico aspects. There...
I was going for a walk yesterday along a creek at the base of the Blue Mountains having a great old time when I climbed the bank to go around an obstacle and came face to face with a very large snake - very dark coloured but I don't think it was a red bellied black. I was probably about two...
I've been thinking of getting some sort of front fanged snake but my question is how do I avoid dieing? Cos I know I'll get bitten at some stage. Stup
id question but I thought I'd better ask than find out the hard way
Hi I recently saw this snake in the Blue Mountains of NSW.
It was a decent sized snake, brown in colour and had orange-ish diamonds on it's side?
Does anyone know what breed it is and if so anything about it, i.e poisonous?
I have attached a photo, but it's not that great!
Cheers
Dingo Dan;)
This skin was found intact on my laundry doormat. I live close to Camden NSW and have seen both brown and red-bellied black snakes on our property and want to know which one it could be. It measures 1.5m.
Some interesting pics of newborn Pseudechis porphyriacus that where born in my care recently, displayed there "umbilical cord" you could call it,even though the developing embryo is not physically attached to a placenta as in a placental mammal, there is however, what appears to be some placental...

Went up to a mates farm for a few days. Its my favourite spot to find a variety of frogs. Also at this time of year on a cool sunny day the snakes are EVERYWHERE! :D
Red Bellied black snakes were the most common as usual, saw one eastern brown snake, found a Dendy's Toadlet which is rarely...
Just over a week ago I bought a yearling pair of Golden Crowned Snakes, I am absolutely stoked with them, they are in top shape and the person I bought them off was very helpful and a great person to deal with .
This little one is a yearling, she is roughly 45cm long and about as thick as...
It seems that the bottom has fallen out of the market , every naturally occurring snake is basically free to good home ?
The only snakes that are worth more than the food they eat are chondros and some jaguars.
Even standard albino darwins wont be worth anything by next season .
what will be the...
Hi All,
Looking for a young red bellied black snake. Preferably hatchling to yearling. Willing to pay for freight. Not concerned with *** of animal, just ask that it is self sufficient to feed on its own and not need force feeding.
Kind regards
Chris

My partner and I have had the worst luck with house mates. And what is worse, the last one just will not leave! he has been here about a month since I asked him to leave the last time. We have an action plan, in June/July we will be moving out again into a bigger place. We are just not inviting...
After a Red Belly Black neonate, preferably in Victoria.
Willing to come and pick it up myself provided it's not right at the other end of the state!
Please PM me if you can help me out.
Cheers
So I bought a problem feeder Jag a little while ago. I tried every trick I knew to get it feeding, but with no success.
So I decided to try "Reptile Wombaroo".
You mix it 50/50 with warm water, fill a syringe with a small amount of it and orally inject. Wait 2 days and this happens...

Have just "adopted" a carpet python. Have no idea how old he is, what *** he is, he was being mistreated, so I've taken over looking after him. He's just lying in his tank, have got it all set up, took him to pet shop to get right size feed for him, he's not interested, so am just wondering if...
Hi, I was sent 2 pictures from a friend who found this snake dead on the side of the road, although it does not appear to have been run over. I initially saw the belly photo and thought it may be either a small eye or an unusual red belly, but the red does not appear up the flanks and didn't...
I was walking my dog along a fire trail (Goonelabah NSW) when I came across this snake covered in ticks.
I'm actually not fond of snakes although I knew it was a non-venomous python so I tried to push them off with a stick and that just irritated the snake more.
I'm an avid photographer so I...
Having lived in Queensland’s south east for 17 years and providing snake relocation services I’ve heard more than my fair share of supposed ‘taipan’ sightings in properties throughout Brisbane’s western suburbs and Ipswich. Amongst the hundreds of suspected taipans none have ever eventuated in...
A friend had a snake dragged in by his cat it appears to me to be a Golden Crown Snake but we are located in Nowra on the South Coast 3 hours south of Sydney. The snake is in my care now and I was hopping to release it back into the wild but where??? The people that found it had been away to the...
