In the coming months I am going to get a couple of Beardies, and I was wondering if they would be ok with my Bluie/Cunninghams? It's a large outdoor enclosure but I don't want conflict. In my opinion a black/dark Eastern with a yellow mouth is an amazing looking animal and that is what I'm...

It would be great to get well thought out answers to this

Hi Folks,
I'm one a the lucky few who has legally acquired Tiliqua rugosa asper here in the US. Daily care for these guys has proven quite simple as they've thrived with me for over a year.
I don't even know if they're a true male/female pair, but that's not too important. I figure that...

I thought I'd start this thread so I dont hijack another..
I just read a comment claiming that captive reptiles weren't pets at all?? ( I'm not singling out the individual, I've read this a few time before..)
I completely disagree with this. How can my 7th generation (possibly more) captive...
I've heard a few different things about different substrates and have tried at least four now, first was astro turf which I got rid of because it irratated poor Dante's belly :( 2nd was that paper cat litter stuff I've heard about? No good, too dusty, and stayed way too damp. Mouldy, ick. So...

So I've had these guys for years now (one since around '05, another '08sh, the other '09ish) and I've never known the gender of one Eastern and the Stumpy. The bluey has always had different suggestions (I have a feeling it's a male but I'm no expert), but I've had none on the Shingle, so any...

Other than Blondie has anyone heard of another wild Albino carpet being found? I was speaking to an old Landscaper up here in Darwin about snakes and he said years ago a fellow he worked with had found an albino python on a job and had it for quite a while. I can't confirm if this story is...
Hey guys, I've spent months trying to talk my mum into allowing me to get a snake and I don't seem to be getting through to her... I can't even believe the "I only need to feed it once a week and i wouldn't require you to feed it like you have to feed the beardie when I'm away" didn't work...

We have a 5yo shingleback with some sort of issue
Since yesterday she has looked as though she's in pain - really fast, heavy breathing and frequently getting up to 'twist' herself in circles.
We've taken her to a reptile vet, the only thing he was able to tell us (of use) was that she doesn't...
