My parents went to Kangaroo Island a few weeks ago and dad couldnt resist when driving along and saw this guy to jump out of the car and chase after it for a picture, he said he stopped when the monitor stopped and stared him out, he said he felt like it was going to run after him, ( i think he...

Our final destination of this trip was the Stirling Ranges National Park. The Stirling Ranges are about a 4 hour drive east of the Margaret River (an hour north of Albany). The park consists of numerous isolated peaks that are separated by sandy flats. This is a botanist's paradise with a...

Anyone know the rules/regulations??

Hey everyone, excuse my ignorance but whilst browsing pics on the net i came across this one... All it said was 'goanna'. Could anyone further identify it for me?
Got my 1st Monitor today, a beautiful juvie male V.scalaris from boa, and I'm totally fascinated by his behaviour (the monitor's, not boa's)
Apart from (almost) already proving himself to be an adept escape-artist, just the way he's exploring & probing everything is amazing.
I was totally...
