As a kid when I was playing host to ELN tortoises I would pinch a pair of mums stockings and use them as a scoop net for Gambusia. The tortoises loved them, dead or alive, and would take them from my hand.

:shock: What is Gambusia?? :shock:
herptrader...Why ? The algae seems to be coming off on its own. I have scraped a bit off cos the tubeworm was underneath it. Would the algae be some sort of camouflage?
