Not herp related but thought I would post it anyway. Around september last year my dog gave birth to 4 pupps. When we brought the mother and the pupps inside there was only 3, we didn't know at the time that she had 4. She had them at 5 in the morning, I was going to band practice that night around 6. When I walked out the back door I seen another pup on the ground very cold and stiff. I picked it up and gave it a few beaths of air and begain to rub her chest. She started to squirm so I kept rubing her chest and brought her into the mother. She was so weak that I had hold her on the nipple so that she could drink. Anyway she survived and I called her HOPE. I could not keep her because we already have 3 dogs and 1 cat and a snake. It was sad to sell her because of the bond she and I had formed.

We had a simmilar thing happen with our pups .
The mum layed on top of one of the pups and we had to warm it up and hold it on the nipple as well it was almost lifeless for a day but we bottle fed it till it was strong enough to feed for itself .

oh thats a top story craig, well done :D . I wouldn't be able to part with it if i saved it. the bond would be too strong and i would get too emotional over parting ways. sook sook

It was very hard to let her go. I got teary eyed when she left. The people that bought her did bring her back around a few times before they moved. Every time she would come straight to me. Even then I was teary eyed. I still miss her even now.

Yes Mate you do get attached to them .It is very hard to sell them especially after you have that type of connection with them !
You did really well saving her .What breed of dog are they ?

my mum use to nurse the weaker pups when my parents use to breed dogs but this was going on 10- 15 year ago
