A very sad find

I hosted an Irish couchsurfer once who was studying leper colonies in the NT. Lived here all my life and had no idea they had existed until then. Such a strange thing to be studying though, I mean it'd be difficult to make a career out of that.

It's all about the piece of paper/ qualification. I find academics very single minded and rarely useful in real world situations. I'd like a dollar for every time one stood and watched while I got the car out of a bog or changed a tyre
