Adult Diamonds gone crazy

Hello All

I need help my two diamonds monty and strop have gone crazy they will not let me near them i get strop out once a week she is my baby but over the last 3 weeks both of them wont let me near them is this a stage there going though or is it me i have not done anything to them etc drop them etc there enclosure is cleaned with fresh water etc i dont know whats wrong with them any one got any ideas.
Am lost now i cant handle my own snakes what do i do

hehe, my male has also gone a bit silly in the past few weeks. I think its the increased heat that has sent him a bit mental. I'm sure they will calm down a bit. How old are they sam?

yeh, my three pythons are fairly jumpy at the moment. I dunno what it is.

It's the time of year my dear You will prob get storms up there soon or at least weather with pressures that normally bring storms. Just use a hook till they calm down again. Oh yes, don't forget your umberella when you go out

Monty is 4yrs and strop 5 yrs glad to see its not just me having this happen i feel so lost might have to buy another one lol to keep me happy till they come back to earth.

Thanks sweetie we have had big storms here the last few days but this has been going on for weeks.I have to go buy a hook now b ugger.

has there ever been any study with Aussie Pythons and air pressure fluctuations? I know that most animals can sense storms and weather changes through their inbuilt barometers, but ive never heard anything about snakes??

i have heard of afew snakes going through a puberty, very edgey, hates owner(parents)

i think "sweeties" theory is the answer

My wife must have one of those in built barometers too then cause she's been really snappy lately when i try to handle her....

Barometric pressure does seem to [play some part in it. When i am collecting if there is a big storm or even a big build up, most of the snakes i find are very aggro and generally i cant get near them without being struck at. I have found this to be the case with stimmies, bhp, perthensis, mulga, barroni.

my snakes have been fine my female olive is giving me the hisses occasionaly but all others are fine

the monitors are loving the stormy weather
