There's plenty of jobs in the Top End and if you have a personality and a a will to work you will certainly find work here. Nice part of the world too so give it some thought. If it's not happening there you can move. (It's difficult for everyone). It worked for me 30 years ago!

Oh if only I had that option, Steve!
Unfortunately I can't move away anywhere further than 2hrs from Brisbane as I'm on the transplant list, as well. I need to be with a 2hrs drive to the Prince Charles Hospital or there are more chances of me receiving a 'false call' (where the organs aren't viable/compatible)
I really wish I could move though, there just isn't much in SE Qld job wise. A mate ended up moving to Melbourne because of the same reason.

ifeel for you Trouble! i too am finding it extremely hard to gain employment because i'll never drive and have the stigma of epilepsy slapped on. I am a fully qualified Medical Receptionist but it seems to get harder and more disheartening...after 7years of unemployment it's becoming annoying and depressing but we soldier on somehow.

Ever need to vent on the frustrating days, just PM me. I'm now only just allowed to work to full capacity and need to have another JCA!
