heh! We'll NEVER make everyone happy - it's a fact of life when there are this many members. We do our best to remain impartial. Believe me, we don't punish people just because we don't agree with them - never have, as far as I can remember. We take action when the rules are consistently breached.
It may appear, sometimes, that we jump on someone who breaches the rules in a small way. Generally we overlook small breaches, but when we
do take action, it's usually after repeat offences, and usually after warnings have been given. Some people just can't admit they're wrong, no matter what. The rules are pretty clear.
... In fact, we've been
too lenient sometimes, but hey! That's just the kind of people we are!
The admins aways discuss problems before we take any action, and it's always with regret when we do.
The new procedures we have put in place to check new members may result in a drop in new memberships, as it now takes longer to process memberships before they're approved, and some people won't take the risk of providing verification details. Still, we'd rather have a smaller, well behaved group than let in troublemakers. Let's see how it goes, eh?
