can any one tell me, when you bath your beardies is it important that the water is just under the belly? so they don't panic? one was playing possum and I thought "crap whats wrong here" he looked like he was floating asleep? I got him out and straight under the light he went, no probs  confused Pizza

i fill a tray about 3 centimeters high with water when i bath mine, sometimes they just lay down so that it touches their beard. you could just do it belly high and just flick the water on his/her back

I tilt my tub so they have a bit they can swim in or a bit that has little/no water in. Leave in there supervised for around 30mins.

For years ive either used a bath or my laundry sink for there twice weekly bath. I fill the water level up so there feet just touch. No less no more. I find the extra water allows them to swim if they choose. In the cooler months the water is luke warm. If its cold they go off n cool down to quick.

similar to Rushie but I don't bathe so often, maybe fortnightly in summer or when shedding.
I've also found there are no conflicts in the bath,I can have 8 dragons of various sizes together with no agro

Good point Dragonlover.. and the only reason I bath mine that often is to keep them hydrated. I dont mist in winter at all due to the risk of RI, so warm baths do the trick.

sounds good but I don't mist adults (except for stinking hot days),it's only babies & juvies because they eat less & like you I don't mist in winter either

I found if i hold the guys on the palm of my hand they seem to settle very quick and pretty much just lay there :)

Thats great mate. Every beardie is different and responds different hence we love them. :)
