I've noticed my bearded dragon has a soft grey spot at the back of his neck. i was just wondering if this was anything to be concerned about. Here is a picture...

Sorry, that is the male and HE isnt in with the female because they were biting each others toes off.

Has he recently shed? In that photo it looks like he has some bits of old skin.

pinefamily he shed about a week ago and has a few scales left on him but that isnt what the grey spot is. i was wondering if it might be an infection of some kind?

If you think it might be an infection, the best person to see is a reptile vet. How often do you give them calcium and vitamins?

I dust there crickets with calcium three times a week and with vitamin powder only once a week.

Well that rules out a calcium or vitamin deficiency then. Does it bother your beardie when you touch the soft spot?

No not at all.

Looking at the photo again, are those white-grey bits always there?

Yes they appeared about 2 months ago

I think taking him to a reptile vet is probably best.
