Tommo, you helped a Collingwood fan and expected gratitude. hahaha.
On the kid thing, mates of mine have been home dads for some time and yeah some of the mums are scared but when one in three women have been sexually assaulted at some time in their lives you cant expect to be greeted with open arms. Blokes have a lot of crap to clean up before we are fully accepted.
Saying that there is a lot of fun to. I go on all the excursion with my son at preschool. I sit in the bus with the mums and play with the kids. Most of the other mums are great and the few that are standoffish I dont push. I always say hello and their kids will say something like thats Francis's dad. He's got snakes or llizards or possums, whatever theyre taken by. I work at it and try not to be diappointed by other peoples attitudes. If I did I'd have quit being a wildlife rescue/rehabilitater ages ago. I always hold out hope for what other people will do and sometimes they need a good shove but I never give up on someone. You have to be evil incarnate or dead before I think your a lost cause. You just have to find that spark.
