i think there may be an underlying problem here. A vet is in order. and I'd ask for blood samples to make sure there isn't an infection.
From the degree of swelling and the crease when you have removed all the retained shed there should be exposed flesh and a little bleeding in the crease. The foot is going red because there is a lack of proper circulation. If its not raw in the crease then in all likelihood the skin is still there. You will need to debride any dead tissue. It simply seems you need to go to a reptile vet,
It's been messed up for a month, you cant see an external problem,
You feel the situations and solutions presented by other members don't fit your situation,
So it appears the only option in order to hopefully save his limb, and hopefully some major discomfort...'cause that's gotta be hurting.
