Hey all,

So this year I want to get experience in breeding so I found myself a male bluey that I'm getting tonight. He is going in with my female to live with her. She is very placid doesn't show any signs of aggression what so ever, she is 4 year's old, the male I'm getting is a few years old and "well handled."
I just have a few questions:

What are some good foods to feed them as a staple diet in the upcoming to brumation?
At the moment her staple diet is tinned dog food all natural kangarroo fillet flavour, all natural baby food and chopped vegies.

When should I start dropping temperatures and what to?
I think it's 15c but correct me if wrong.

When should I start raising temperatures? I will be upping the temperature by one degrees every day, is that alright?

I will be brumating them together but will seperate after brumation then re-introduce them when temperatures start getting higher, is this okay?

When introducing them how long should I leave them together for before splitting and putting them together?

Any further help would be lovely :)
Thanks in advance.

I have been breeding blueys for seven years this year so I can help you a bit there. With thier diet (this recipie is for six lizards so you may need to reduce the ingredients for less waste) I mix three table spoons of puppy pal, two eggs (cracked of coarse), one diced tomato (make sure you include the seeds because they love them), two diced strawberrys, some spinach and or rocket leaves. Make sure you feed them this meal for a few weeks before the birth and a few weeks after. For the temperature I'm sorry I can't help there as my lizards are in a large outdoor enclosure and in all the time I have bred them I have just left all the animals together and never had a single problem. This year I think I have about 12-18 babies coming so it will be great. I hope the advice helped and you have many little ones to come

Thank you so much!

I've done abit more research about it and I seem to have got the temperature's al written down.
The supposedly male I picked up is only 9 months old when it was supposed to be and adult grrr!
I bought it anyway because he was moving and it was cheap plus I love bluey's haha!

I ended up remembering my next door neighbour has one and it's a male so I guess it all worked out :)

With the puppy pal is it dry dog food or meat?
Also what brand do you reccomend/use? (Pic would be good)

I use the meat. I think you can use the dry if you soak it in water

I use tinned meat because it has a lot of the vitamines and minerals they need plus they love it
