So one of my school friends that i havent seen for years knows how many reptiles i have brought me over this little gecko tonight, he has no tail and is missing his front right hand. The wound doesnt look very new and his pretty capable of getting around with out a problem but i think he might have mites?
I dont have a camera to take photos but i found this
http://www.aussiepythons.com/forum/australian-lizards-5383/leaf-tailed-geckos-120026/
and thats what it looks like, in the forum it says to use olive oil and drown them? (obvisously the mites not the gecko) haha and then just wipe them off, i tried to use tweezers but they are just too small and i dont want to hurt him. So just seeing if that is right any adivce would help.
Thanks guys :)

I really wouldn't bother removing them, if its let go again where it was found it will be re-infested anyways.
