I just fed my snakes, put one of them back into their enclosure and he struck out at the glass. His jaw was still 'dislocated' from feeding, and it looks as though the front tip of the jaw has bent back inside his mouth. He seemed a little distraught trying to put it back in place. He has settled down now, but the jaw still looks the same.

Anyone else experienced anything similar to this? need for a vet or a over-reaction? Could this cause a broken jaw?

It is very possibly broken. I always keep hatchlings in non transparent enclosures as my very first snake (who was super aggressive) damaged his jaw in the same way. Some pics would help members provide better feedback.

Yes i have had experience and i poo'd my pants at the sight of my python with the funny jaw ahah my water python smacked the glass numerous times and stuffed his lip i thought he broke it but it fold back out i would not stress just leave it for a couple of days but if you are really worried get it checked out

Nothing wrong with it, don't even need to see pics. Some snakes take longer to correct themselves than others. Relax, have a pizza, beer, put your feet up and the tv on.
