BTS Swollen Toe

My blue tongue skink has a swollen toe which I noticed after his last shed. I have tried soaking him in epsom salt/water solutions to no avail. I’m pretty sure there’s no stuck shed anymore but the swelling won’t go down. He seems otherwise healthy and it doesn’t seem to bother him but I don’t want the toe to fall off. Any tips would be very much appreciated.

Problem is with the toe nail, it's infected ( but digging or trimmed too far ? ) .
Soak foot in a little glass with dilute Betadiene in ( add a few drops and mix , when it looks like cold tea in colour it's strong enough ) , I'd do this for 10 minutes at a time a couple of times a day .
