My thermostat failed at 61 days in my incubator. There are 22 bredli eggs in it. I have since moved them into a spare cage that is sitting between 30 and 33 degrees in a microwave vegetable steamer. Can I pip them the encourage them out?

dont do it until the first one pips itself depending on temp and development they may take a month longer in which case you could kill the lot, leave them and let nature take its course, thats why im a big advocate for maternal incubation because mum doesnt fail like thermostats

It was a toss up for the maternal incubation, especially since she has successfully hatched two clutches previously. But the $2.5k industrial thermostat won out (stupid me). Not that I paid that. point taken on the pipping, thanks for the advice.

Pipping won't encourage them to come out. Short of reaching in and physically removing the snake from the egg yourself, nothing will encourage them out. 60 days at 30 degrees would see them close, are the eggs deflating? You can pip them, sure, but if you had to ask this on here then I would suggest you leave them.
