Pretty simple question, just wondering if an enclosure 6'L x 4'H x 2'D would be suitable? I understand the rule of thumb is for the enclosure to be as long as the snake is, and half as wide and half as tall, but I would struggle to fit a 3' deep enclosure comfortably (it could be done but would require moving some more furniture around) and carpets enjoy climbing so would making it taller instead of deeper be a problem?

I have seen literally thousands of Carpet Pythons being kept by countless people on four different continents and I could count the number of them which were in enclosures that large on one hand.

There's a massive disconnect between what people say online and what people actually do. In reality, managing enclosures that large is difficult and for various reasons the snakes don't do as well. Especially for a beginner, it's better to go for something smaller, and taller enclosures generally post heating problems unless you're in a warm climate.
