I thought it was illeagl to export Australian sankes?

No quite the contrary, in the states and europe Australian species are very popular, and as House said, morphs (particualry of Jungles) is hugely common. I agree with you House, I prefer snakes the way they appear in nature, not designer modified.

Sorry, maybe spoke too soon. I may be wrong on the export, but they certainly are rife overseas!

I like both in fact... I appreciate morphs but really don't like hybrids...

The more common morphs in Europe are Coastal morphs, like caramel or jaguar.

Now days exporting aussie natives is highly illegal, but before it was made illegal alot of our snakes were exported to europe and the USA. I believe rough scaled pythons only appeared on the aussie market after it was made illegal, so hopefully (sorry, but you know...) there hasn't actually been any RSP exported to overseas.

Beautiful bredli mate, good to see someone who loves the pure aussie natives.

Between 2000 and 2500... In euros of course!

This species is only kept by a few hobbyists...

Some other french prices (all in euros)

- Inland carpet : 2500 a pair
- BHP : 1500 EACH
- Woma : 1000 EACH
- Darwin : still looking for...
- Centralian : 500 a pair

I can't believe that about Diamonds! Guess this would kill you to see then? ;)

The other prices aren't too outrageous though - considering they are exotic for you over in Europe. You also have so much range for other non-Aussie snakes! I love our natives, but I'm really frustrated sometimes when I see a gorgeous cornsnake or boa and know I will never get to keep one...

1500$ For five diamonds???
:(

In fact, in Australia, you can't neither export nor import reptiles?

PROBABLY!! Come on where is your patriotism??? We definatly dont need exotic's as we have the BEST species of reptile's known to the universe!!! ;)
I agree! But i didnt feel like having anyone flame me for the comment.

there are alot of exotic snakes in oz, pythons, boas, elapids, colubrids, and vipers, but most are kept illegaly.

if we could keep boas, i would. :) but i just have bree. my jungle. 15 months old

beautiufl mate!
