Hi - I have a children's python that has been shedding its skin for about 3 weeks now, and the area around his head was particularly slow to shed. I soaked him in some lukewarm water about a week ago, and it seemed to help, but now he seems to be shedding his skin again. His head and eyes are clear, but the rest of his body is not shedding properly. Is this normal? Should I be worried. I've had the sname about 3 months and live on Sydney Northern Beaches in Narrabeen.

there is a couple things you can do buddy
keep the tank humid for it help shed skin easily/ helps snake
give him/ her luke warm baths as u have before - after he starts shedding only was what i was told correct me if i am wrong.

to help with humidity put a water bowl under or near the heat light

pictures may also help us understand what you are seeing if possible?

cheers buddy

I have just had the same problem with my children's.
I took her to the vet and he told me not to spray her, soak her or increase humidity levels as this can cause other problems like blister disease.
The best thing to do is use vitamin e cream. Im not sure how often you would have to use it if your snake still hasnt shed all his skin.
The vet removed all the dead skin for me (over a few days) and im now using the vit e cream 2 times a week until the next shed.
He also gave her a vitamin injection to speed up the next shed.
Hope that helps.
