hey all well i just got home with my little stimson and wanted to ask something

then i made the click clack i out some vent holes along the side of the container and some on the lid at one end is it best to put the lid with the holes in the hot or the cold end

and also ive got the probe for the thermostat in the hide but its a long probe is there anywhere else i can put it or is it best to keep the probe in the hide

any help would be great

Howdy mate I've found and read it is best to have holes down low at the cool end, and holes up high at the hot end to aid in circulating the air as cool air is drawn in, then heats up and rises etc.

I'm guessing you're using a heat mat for your click clack. If so the probe for it IMO is best located directly ontop of your heat mat so it controls it directly. Use a thermometer to check the temperatures directly over the heat mat, and go off your thermometer readings to adjust your thermostat. Also keep an eye on the cool end and make sure that isn't warming up to much.

Pretty much just make sure your holes arent to big etc and that the lid is well secured.

Regards,
Michael

No worries might pay to see if you can get the hot end to 32-33. As for your cool end, what is the temperature of the room it's in. If the cool end temp is more than a couple of degrees warmer than your ambient room temp it might pay to put a few more holes down low on the cool end just to give a better gradient over summer if you decide to bump your hot end up etc.
