I use hundreds of tubs mainly in rack systems. To burn holes i use this jig which has 5 $10 soldering irons conected via a powerboard.

That is brilliant - its like the contraption we used to dream of making out of chalk or pens when we had to write lines as a punishment!

i work at bunnings and i havent heard of a 4.99 soldering iron at my store :p i bought myne for like 10 or something like that... plus discount because i am awesome ;) haha

my boxes holes are soldered, its alot easier and takes less time

Nat ;)

Very stylish PK. How much are those click in vents and how big. I take it they are from Bunnings. ( they have run just about every other supplier out of business)

yea they sure have, yea i think a pair of the vents were about $4 "68mm"and the containers were $24 plus i bought some padlocks just to keep them closed :)

Soldering iron , $4.99 from bunnings .

man i got ripped off. i paid $20 for one at my local hardware. lol

i use a soldering iron. have done for years, my first one lasted me 6 years, it finally fell apart 2 weeks ago and i had to buy a new one :D

Thats the price you pay to have a local hardware otherwise you'll end up with a world controlled by Bunnings.

I use a gas soldering iron with a modified tip does a nice neat hole. And my local hardware has better service than bunnings.

You will also find a soldering iron gives a stronger more rigid result, the molten plastic "braces" the hole you have made..

Thanks guys, thought I'd post the finished result. Soldering iron it was! I know the holes are not perfectly symmetrical, but I'm reasonably pleased with the result. Any suggestions or criticisms welcome. Well, the criticisms aren't welcome but you know what I mean. Sorry about the phone quality but I didn't think it warranted busting out the camera to get the general idea.
