how long do i freeze rats after they have been co2 killed until they are safe to feed them to pythons.

Freezing for 3 months kills any parasites that would be present. If your rats are treated for worms and so are not carrying anything then there is no minimum time to freeze.

Does anyone have any PROOF that freezing them for 3months kills all parasites
Because it used to be 6months in the freezer till all were dead
and is it 3 months do the date

also you are kill good bacteria when doing this

Dan - I have my doubts that 3 months will kill all parasites - but it seems to be a realistic number.

Some parasites can form cysts which could last up to several years.

But the major ones like worms etc - I think most couldn't survive the -18'C cryogenic facility of your freezer.
