I am pickin up a 4 month old coastal today. I have a temporary small click clack for him for now, but am looking at building a large enclosure for him. have spoken to a few people about building enclosures, and have gotten a lot of great advice. Is there anything specific to the coastals I need to take into consideration?? what kind of minimum sizing am I looking at? I know these guys can get quite large. I am thinking of converting our spare linen closet into a display for the coastal, seeing as he will be a big'un.

I have ordered a second 3ft terrarium from reptile one, same as my enclosure for gavin, but it won't be big enough for my coastal full grown, so I will save it for a bredly or woma - whichever comes first.

i will be wondering the same my coastal is about 5 months old atm im thinking of building a 6ft high 5ft wide enclosure for him and maybe adding a bredli to it too at a later date.

wonder where you got the idea for an enclosure that size from !

That last comment was aimed at DriftOz, not you ambi_purr, but i left it too late to edit it.....

that's alright jaxrtfm... I kind of guessed that ;)

Yes, I think I am going to have to build quite a big enclosure.

How do you reckon an outdoor enclosure would fair in brisbane?

the minimum size you are looking at is 4x2x2, you can put a coastal in an avairy in brissy

considering thats where they come from that would be my first choice, but here in Adelaide, it would be a 'summer house' definately not a winter getaway, unless you like snakes with icicles, we still have a while to go before the coldest part of the year and there is already heavy frost on my lawn in the morning.....

it gets to -4/-5 so no outdoor lizard pits or snake enclosures for us :(
