I would put a blue tongue on pine bark cause they love to dig and hide themselves in it. I use a mixture of the large and small pinebark and it's been great.
Excellent I will get that then... up until 1/2hr ago I was using lucerne pellets but have newspaper in their atm until I get to the produce, which I should go soon before it shuts
honestly, it all boils down to presonal preference. i will not use sand on any of my reptiles as i feel it has to much risk envolved. even though it looks nice, i wont risk it.
i have always used breeders choice cat litter, have done for years. in the past.....going back 5 or 6 years ago, i have used bark with blue tongues and beardies and never once had a problem. it looked great, i just found it hard to find there poos. i am very anal and take out all poos as i see them. and bark was hard to see them.
i am not bothered too much about how "pretty" there enclosures all look as they are in a locked room were i dont allow people in. but, i think breeders choice still looks quite neat and tidy.
anywho thats enough outta me.
enjoy

he has now got rocks to climb around and id be extremely suprised if he can get his mouth around them let alone swallow them! it was all the reptile sand, id recently changed to wash play sand but i dont want to risk anymore sand related probs!
I'm over the Bunnings play sand. No matter how quickly I get my Beardies business out of the enclosure it still smells.
The sand is absorbing too much I think, clumps also. I think it will be gone by the end of the weekend and replaced with some of that fake "low mowed" looking instant turf from Bunnings.
