The movie usually touted as the worst ever was Plan 9 from Outer Space by Ed Wood Jnr (and in 1980 he was voted, by his peers, as the worst director ever). Ed Wood made a few other shockers, but I think Glen or Glenda would have to be his worst, I found that a little painful to watch. Robot Monster (not by Ed Wood) was worse still - that one is so bad it's funny. I actually fell off my seat in the movie theatre laughing at one point. Andy Warhol's Flesh For Frankenstein and Blood for Dracula were entertaining also, especially Frankenstein "To know death Otto, you have to f*** life in the gallbladder. " From memory, the Velvet Vampire was a shocker too.
And no discussion of worst movies is complete without at least mentioning Salo.

"Fer-De-Lance" "When an American submarine leaves Tierra Del Fuego with a secret stash of venomous snakes, their deadly attacks land the the crew at the bottom of the southern ocean. What's worse, the snakes are still at large on the submarine and complicate the efforts of the crew to escape the sunken vessel"
"Black Cobra Woman" (violence, nudity, language)

hehehe Serpent_Lady...... Spank the Monkey was a movie at Blockbuster- the lead guy in it was the dorky wussy guy who was in Saving Private Ryan and a photogrpaher in Twister. We hired it out thinking it might have been a comedy etc and it was a serious movie about a teenager who's life was crap but couldnt get 5 mins privacy to Spank the Monkey.

Spy kids.. i was angry for a week after seeing it. I was just so disgusted and angry that i couldn't get it off my mind. I have blanked it since, and so cannot remember anything about it except that now whenever i hear the words "spy kids" uttered i am in an instant bad mood.

The worst movies ever are all the ones my wife wants to watch, and especially if I'm made to turn off a herp show so she can watch it!

There was some movie on prime about a week ago, Japanese Story, that was so boreing and it went no where. I think "green frog in a toilet" would be more interesting.

No offence but, while Date Movie was meant to be a parody, it was quality compared to some of the crap we've mentioned. Maybe the country doesn't get as many movies as the cities do? Maybe the movies Date Movie was parodying werren't shown in the country - the movie would appear pretty stupid then.
I still say Salo beats most of the movies already mentioned hands down.
