Defrosted food

Just got home to find fridge was off and rats for spotted were half defrosted. Is it safe to refreeze them? What can happen if I defrost them in coming weeks to feed my snake

refrozen rodents can split, stink and possibly even kill your snake, bin them $20 worth of rats aren't worth risking your snakes life

this same thread was asked a couple of days ago have a search for that, but I would defrost them, give to the snake what it'll take, and chuck the rest
