nice snake mate. i just use hot tap water and dry off with a towel or paper towel

I leave them on a heat mat for an hour or so, gently defrosted and nicely warmed

Hot water, not boiling though as you may cook it slightly.

Is that one of Uro's carpets

Just hot water out of the tap, leave for 10-15 minutes (adult mouse), up to an hour for large rats etc. Just press your finger gently into the belly of the rodent for a few seconds, if it feels cold, leave a bit longer.

Don't bother drying, and offer straight away while still warm. A quick heat such as hot water is far more preferable than slow defrosting - the growth of bacteria is a time/temperature equation, the faster you thaw, the less time bacteria have to multiply.

I also use warm water with the rodent in a zip lock bag. I feel the rodents head for a few seconds to feel for cold parts as this seams to be the last spot to defrost.

i stick mine in the fridge in the mornign b4 work 6am and when i get home at 4-5 pm ill stick it in a plastic bag in a cup and fill the bag with hot tap water and leave for 10 mins put on paper towel and then go feed.

hot water into a cup, chuck the frozen mouse straight in... 10 mins later should be good but check, then feed...

I put mine in a cup of luke warm water and it only takes a few mins
cause im only feeding pinky rats.mmm yummy!

I put it in a small tray and let it float on luke warm water for an hour or two, then i warm them up with a hairdryer.

I have quite a few mouths to feed so my theory is simplicity:-
Frozen feed animals into bucket then warm tap water (not so hot that it will start to cook) into bucket.
Go and do other things for half an hour or so.
Check feed animals are thawed and warm through then tip the water out. (Used to do it all by feel but I now have an infra red heat gun I have been checking the water is around the low to mid 30's also.)
Finally distribute the feed animals no drying (just shake any excess water of by lightly tapping the food item on the side wall of the bucket a couple of times).

Works for me and I can feed all my animals in around an hour start to finish.

i defrost then microwave for 5 seconds.... i dont know if this is recommended but it works!

I suggest you don't use the microwave. unless you'd want some exploded rat mince in your microwave! lol seriously don't use it.

I use hot water out of the tap and zip lock bags works well and takes no time at all.
I check and make sure that they are fully defrosted and warm.
